Enrolment
Ngurraga school accepts enrolment of students between the age of five and eighteen years. Eligibility for enrolment is determined by an educational psychology assessment which measures a student’s IQ. We are a ‘specialist school’ for children whose IQ score is 70 or below. If your child does not meet this requirement they will be unable to enroll at Ngurraga School.
Our maximum enrolment number is 168 and this will build over the first few years of operation. Enrolments are determined by meeting the requirements and a priority placement system, based on our enrolment policy. This policy is available on this website.
Before You Apply
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.
For your child to enroll at Ngurraga School:
STEP 1
You will need to arrange for your child to have a cognitive assessment. This assessment can be arranged by your local zoned school. This can take up to 10 weeks, so the earlier you begin this process, the better.
