By 2028, Ngurraga School will offer two distinct curriculum pathway options for senior students, aligned with their individual strengths, interests, and intended post-school pathways:
The Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) provides a program that allows for flexibility and individualised focus, which will support the education needs of our students. The VPC provides an enriched curriculum and excellent support for students to develop the skills, capabilities and qualities for success in personal and civic life. The curriculum accommodates students' aspirations and future employment goals by connecting students to industry and experiences and active participation in the community (Structured Workplace Learning), to support a positive transition to post-school options.
ASDAN is a UK based accredited program designed to support young people with special education needs and disabilities to transition to adulthood and life beyond school. Through the ASDAN curriculum, we aim to enable our students to develop their self-confidence in being prepared for life after school, preparing to live independently and become valued members of their local community. The activities are designed for students to learn in a variety of settings and contexts, both at school and in the local community via Structured Community Engagement.
